With all that we have to offer, you won't need to leave our Maine campground unless you're itching to explore the surrounding area! The Maine State Museum is the perfect place to stop with your family if you're visiting our Camp-Resort. Learn all about the state of Maine with 12,000 years of history highlighted through various exhibits highlighting Native American history, natural sciences, Maine's gems, pilgrims, and so much more. Support Chick's Apple and Berry local farm and take your family berry picking! Choose between raspberries, blueberries, or apples depending on seasonality. Plus, if you stay with us during the fall, Chick's doubles as a pumpkin farm as well! They also have pre-picked berry and jam options, so you can make a quick stop to grab your goodies before heading to the park for your camping trip.

Grabbing dinner in a pinch? Fast Eddie's is the place to do that! This restaurant operates as a drive-in, so you just pull your car up to the menu, place your order, and they'll come bring it out to you! This is a great option as they offer both dinner and dessert. If you're only looking for a sweet treat, you can choose from a variety of milkshakes, sundaes, and their 15+ homemade ice cream flavors.

DEW Haven | Maine Zoo & Rescue

DEW Haven is a non-profit family run zoo in Maine whose mission is to care for their 200 animals they've acquired since 1980. This zoo is extra special because all of the animals were rescued from zoos that no longer needed them or were able to care for them anymore. These animals needed a forever home and DEW Haven is that place for them! Spend some time meeting these sweet animals while you stay with us!
 
Parents night out! If you have a guardian at our campground to watch the kids, head out for an hour to taste some local cider.

Absolem Cider Company

Parents, this one is for you! Absolem Cider Company is a 150 year-old barn that produces cider and wine! Their apples are organically grown on-site to make some of the best cider around. They have a tasting room where you can try a variety of their ciders, wine, beers, cocktails, snacks, and rotating food options! If you have a minute to get away for a tasting, head over to Absolem's tasting room!
